GeoffHub is a simple community links-and-projects front door for Geoff's wider web presence. Geoff operates GeoffHub and is the data controller. You can contact him about privacy at datacontroller@geoffhub.co.uk.
What we collect
If you use the GeoffHub contact form, the site collects the name, email address, and message you submit so Geoff can respond and manage that enquiry. Your IP address and browser information are also recorded alongside your message to help prevent abuse.
How we use information
Information sent through the contact form is used to answer your message and deal with reasonable follow-up communication. IP address and browser information are used only for spam prevention and abuse investigation. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact GeoffHub and protecting this community site from spam and abuse.
How long we keep it
Contact-form information is kept only for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, and no longer than 12 months unless there is a legal or safeguarding reason to retain it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Sharing
GeoffHub does not sell your personal information or use it for marketing. Information is handled only by Geoff and the providers needed to operate the website and email service, such as the hosting and email providers.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct, delete, or restrict its use, or object to how it is used. Email datacontroller@geoffhub.co.uk. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and within the legal time limit, which is normally one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please email datacontroller@geoffhub.co.uk first so we can do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

GeoffHub links to independent websites and services. They have their own terms and privacy notices, and information you give them is not collected through GeoffHub.
